PIKETON, Ohio – Six PORTS Fire Services firefighters conducted a prescribed burn of the grasses of the X-611A Prairie, the former lime sludge lagoons, Sunday afternoon, Dec. 18. Several other personnel were on hand to assist and provide required support.

Proceeds from recycling that metal through the unique program will add to more than $2.8 million already generated from recycling more than 5.2 million pounds of material from site demolition efforts.
