Heather Cate is the Finance Director and Deputy Chief Financial Officer for Fluor-BWXT.  The Portsmouth native has been with FBP for nearly five years.

When Heather is not at work you may find her dancing, specifically teaching others. Not only has she taught ballroom dancing since graduating college, she is also well known for her choreography.

“I have choreographed high school musicals for the past 25 years, particularly at Portsmouth West high school,” said Heather. “ This year I am co-directing one of the school’s two spring shows.”

The mother of two, Ethan who is a student at the University of Kentucky, and Bella, a student at Notre Dame High school, also enjoys going to see Dave Matthews Band in concert with her husband Jason. The two actually met at one of the band’s concerts.

Heather is also a regular volunteer with many Fluor-BWXT events, including Science Bowl.

What do you enjoy most about working at Fluor-BWXT?

“I enjoy working with the awesome group of professionals in the finance organization and throughout business services, as well as the opportunity to engage with various groups that may need guidance or assistance across the site. I enjoy process improvement, and I am always willing to help others find new or more efficient ways to complete tasks.”
